New Years Eve Celebration!

Andrew and I went to OKC to spend New Years Eve with Rob and Courtney and their friend Glenn. We traveled to their house and left the dogs in the bathroom, then went to eat at the Bricktown Brewery downtown OKC. Downtown was very busy, but we finally got done eating and went to the Cox Convention Center to watch the Flaming Lips concert!

This picture is taken right after the countdown to midnight, and the New Year! The concert was more like a party, even though we had seats. We all had a great time, probably our best New Years Eve ever!

Merry Christmas! It's almost here...

We have about a week left in Stillwater until we get to come home. I think we are both ready. Andrew is definitely ready to take a break from working. And I'm getting bored sitting at home all day! (Hope Andrew doesn't read this).

Christmas decorations!

This will be our first Christmas as a married couple together. Christmas is a special holiday for us for many reasons. One and the most important: Jesus Christ was born, two: Andrew's birthday is on Christmas eve, and three: we got engaged on Christmas eve last year! So, I'm just saying that Christmas is our favorite holiday and a very special one at that.

We started decorating our house last night, and here are some pictures of the finished decorations. All we have is a tree and some strands of Christmas lights around the house, but it's enough for us right now. I'm sure we'll gather more decorations as the years pass.

We can't wait to get home and spend time with family, another very special thing about Christmas time. We love you all!

School is almost over and Christmas break is almost here. Only a week and a half to go!

This picture is a board that I made for one of my final projects. The project was to make a product out of recycled materials that relates to interior design. So my group, Maddie and I, made a linear chandelier out of glass bottles and Christmas lights. It turned out great and everyone loved it, so hopefully we will get an A! We wanted it to look modern and contemporary, but I think it turned out more country and Christmasy.

We are both looking forward to coming in for Christmas break, I'm excited about my second to last semester of school to be over and Andrew is excited for time off work. We love everyone and can't wait to be in to see you all!

Fall Frenzy

Fall is here and almost winter... don't know if we are ready for that yet. I know the dogs aren't, they don't like to go out in the cold, so we have them little sweatshirts that they wear when its really cold. Thanksgiving is coming up, in 5 days! We are very excited to come home and see the family. We are just counting the days til we can live closer and be closer to everyone. I hope everyone knows how much we miss them all the time!

On a side note, please pray for our baby nephew Morgan, he has had two seizures now and is in the hospital. Not sure what the problem is yet, but hopefully they will figure something out.

This month we had a wine meeting for our wine club we are in. So the September meeting was held at the Zanotti's Wine Bar in Stillwater. There were 10 attendees, including Rob and Courtney all the way from OKC! We have a different wine every month that we try, and this month was dessert wines. So we tried a late-harvest riesling, a ruby port, a cream sherry (which was disgusting), and a sparkling Asti Moscato. The rielsing was definitely the best, then the Asti. Here are a few pictures from the meeting. Next month we are having the meeting at Rob and Courtney's house in OKC. Hopefully a lot of people from Stillwater will come... and the wine will be Zinfandels.

Not a lot has been happening besides school for me and work for Andrew. I did get to go on a school field trip with my interior design senior class. We went to Dallas about a week ago. We were there for 3 days, leaving Andrew at home with the puppies.

While we were there we saw some showrooms, design firms, and an art museum. Here are some pictures of the highlights.

Also, last weekend was our first home football game. We won of course, beating Houston. The game was at 6 pm, so we left during halftime to eat dinner, game food, and then by the time we were done eating it was already in the 4th quarter, so we didn't even go back for the end. We were sad because we heard the last half which we didn't get to see was the best part of the game.

This Saturday is the next home game against Missouri State, so I guess we'll see how it goes. And maybe we'll stay for the whole thing this time.

One week of school... survived.

I have been to my first week of school, it is the weekend now and we are relaxing. The first week wasn't too bad actually, I don't have much homework yet either! I'm only in 4 classes so it shouldn't be bad at all.

We went to church this morning and now Andrew is out playing Frisbee golf with some of his friends. We also went shopping after church and got a new little side table for the living room and 2 new fish for our fishtank!

Mom and Dad, and Laura and Gene, you will all have to come visit sometime soon and see the new fish and the house all fixed up after moving in. We have few curtains up and rugs down, but besides that we didn't put too much effort into it, but it still looks good.

Not much is going on in our lives right now besides school for me and work for Andrew, but keep checking back, I'm sure something will happen sometime! One thing that is coming up is Austin City Limits in Austin, TX. We went last year and this will be our second year. So that will be Sept. 26-28, after that I will put pictures of that trip.

Oh, and this picture is from our most recent concert in OKC at the Bricktown Ballpark, it was a Dave Matthews Band concert last weekend. And the other girl is my friend Lauren Lightle from Muskogee.

The Finished Blanket

New Knitting Project!

Lately, since I'm not working, I've been sitting at home knitting and watching TV. That's about what my life consists of right now. Every now and then letting the dogs outside and playing with them. Oh, and I eat lunch with Andrew every day around 11:30. And of course at night we will go out and do something or just stay in and do something. But during the day, I've been a knitting machine...

Here is my latest project, I've been knitting a blanket for Ziggy and Ringo. It is from a book called Knitting for Peace. In the book the dog blanket is a charity project you can do and then give to the local Humane Society. So, I'm going to make one for my puppies and then make more to give away to other puppies! The blanket is used in their cages at the shelters. The book also has other projects for other charities that I'm going to look into, like sweaters, socks, hats, and mittens for orphans in other countries...

Anyways, here are a few pictures of the blanket as I've been working on it. When it gets finished I'll put the finished product on here!

Baby Morgan

Here's Baby Morgan Jace Adler. 7 pounds 12 ounces and 20 inches long. Andrew and I are officially Uncle and Aunt now to little Morgan. I can't wait to see the adventure ahead of everyone with this new baby!

The Little Housewife is Knitting

Lately I've been learning how to knit. I tried to teach myself with books and videos online, which did teach me somewhat, but I had to go home and let Mom teach me the rest of the way. After one lesson with her, now I can knit almost anything! Now I'm knitting all day and all night. My latest project is baby bootees for my new nephew! That's right, I'm going to be an Aunt tomorrow!

Andrew's brother's wife, her name is Taylor, is having her baby tomorrow. I took off work so that whenever she starts having it Andrew can take off and we can make our way to Tulsa to the hospital. They started giving her drugs today to induce labor, so they plan on her having it sometime tomorrow. Hopefully not too early in the morning.

But that leaves me with tonight and tomorrow to finish the bootees. So far I haven't finished a whole one. I had a practice one, but I've started over and am making new ones. When I get done I'll post pictures of the bootees and hopefully of the new baby if I can get any. So for now, goodbye and come back soon to see those pictures!

Home finally, and now everybody's married

Well, finally back from traveling across the country several times. And now all of us are married. Holly's wedding was wonderful, everything was perfect. This picture of them is after Holly smashed cake on her new husband's face...

While we were in Seattle we went to Pike Place Market, the Mariner's Game, the Space Needle, a winery and brewery, out on Dan's boat to watch fireworks, and lots more. It was a great trip and we all had lots of fun. I think Andrew and I even danced at Holly's reception, which is more than I can say for our wedding reception.

We're off again!

I've been off work today preparing for our next adventure. I've just finished packing, Andrew packed last night before bed, so now we're ready to go! Our flight leaves at 6:OO AM tomorrow morning for Seattle, so we are going home to Fort Gibson tonight to drop off the puppies and try to get a good nights sleep before Mom makes us get to the airport at 4AM.

The puppies have no idea that we are about to leave them for another week. But I guess they did fine last time.

We are so excited about this trip because neither of us have been to Washington before, and because Holly's getting married! The rehearsal dinner is Thursday night at the bed and breakfast we are staying in, and then the wedding is Friday at 5 PM. And then Saturday I think we are going to Seattle to go to the market, maybe watch a Mariners' game, and eat dinner in the Space Needle! Oh, and Thursday night we are going out in Dan's sail boat and watching fireworks.

This trip should be a lot of fun, I'll put pictures up when we return, which will be next Monday.

The Wedding

Well, we are all back from Nevada. And we're married! Here are a few pictures that sum up our experience. The wedding was beautiful, thank you to all that came. We love you all.

The weather was perfect the entire time, God truly blessed us with an amazing weekend. But we are back now and trying to get some rest before we leave again next week for Holly's wedding! We are so excited, and we've never been to Washington before. I'll post more pictures here when we return from that trip.

I'm off work this entire week for our honeymoon week, but sadly Andrew is not. He went back this morning. Two hours earlier since we aren't used to this time zone yet. The people at work even e-mailed me and told me not to come in, to enjoy my honeymoon week, and that they would see me next week. But I think Rob is showing them pictures from the wedding. So since I'll be home all week, I'll probably post again sometime soon.

But overall, the wedding was great. Thanks again to everyone who was involved.
